Hi, everyone. I see that this community hasn't been updated in a long while. However, there are still members, so someone is bound to read this. Maybe I can start things off again.

I've been a fan of Mew and Mewtwo ever since the first movie came out when I was in high school. Such intriguing characters, both of them! The prior is sort of a modern Frankenstien's monster, who started out naive and trusting and ended up doing great harm. The latter is almost a fairy; timelessly ethereal and innocent. (I've only seen 'Mewtwo Strikes Back' and 'Mewtwo Returns,' btw. Maybe things have changed since then.)

Anyway, back then I started a novel-length fanfic about Mew and Mewtwo. I never actually finished it; by the time I went to college, I decided it wasn't worth continuing, since I could never sell it. But the concept stayed with me all those years. It possessed me; I couldn't shake the characters, as much as I tried. So I decided to turn my fic into an original novel. I took spirit of the story and of my fanfic and have been molding them into something new. I think it's worked pretty well so far.

Has anyone else tried this? To what effect? What did you end up with? What did you change? What did you keep? Have you had much success?

Please let me know; I've very interested.
